Rep. Cunningham recently visited her alma mater, Winston-Salem State University, one of North Carolina’s valued Historically Black Colleges and Universities. When sports-betting legislation was introduced in North Carolina, Rep. Cunningham went to work ensuring HBCUs benefitted from the funds.

This week Rep. Cunningham visited the Huntersville Fire Department. Local fire officials provided a tour and in-depth discussion on their equipment and resources, including breathing apparatuses that would allow them to better protect themselves while fighting fires.
