Advocating for Our Fire Fighters

This week Rep. Cunningham visited the Huntersville Fire Department. Local fire officials provided a tour and in-depth discussion on their equipment and resources, including breathing apparatuses that would allow them to better protect themselves while fighting fires.

Having previously secured $200,000 in state funding for the department, Rep. Cunningham was able to learn what else is needed so she can best advocate for our communities heroes.

Rep. Cunningham was joined by N.C. Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey, North Carolina’s fire marshal, on the visit.
